How to Create Painted Leaf Art

   Step 1: Paint your canvas.

   Use the solid color tempura paint and large paint brush to cover the entire canvas with paint.
   
   Consider applying two coats of paint to create a professional appearance.

   Step 2: Position your leaf on the dried painted surface and apply spray paint over it.

   You will need to be especially careful to make sure the leaf does not move around when you are spraying so consider adding one small piece of painter’s tape (in a ring) to hold it in place.
   
   The tape must be able to be easily removed (without disturbing the paint) so only use painter’s tape (designed to not strip away paint).
   
   Spray in an even fashion, back and forth over the entire canvas and leaf, covering the surface completely. , Don’t move the leaf until the paint is totally dried or else you will ruin the effect.
   
   The leaf will be revealed as being the base color paint with the spray paint covering the rest of your canvas. ,

   Step 3: Remove the leaf once the paint has dried completely.
