   Step 1: Begin with a square sheet of paper.

   You can also trim down a sheet of rectangular paper to make it square.

   Step 2: Lay your paper flat on a hard work surface with one corner pointing toward you.

   Lift the corner point towards you and fold it upwards and away to meet the corner facing away from you.
   
   This will form a triangle that is pointing away from you.

   Step 3: Keep it flat on the table

   Step 4: folding the right corner over onto the leftmost one and crease the center line.

   Step 5: As soon as you crease the second triangle

   Step 6: lift the corner that you just folded over up to be perpendicular with the table and the remaining triangle that is laying flat.
