Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: To start stringing a beaded necklace first acquire some basic parts.

This extender allows making a necklace up to 2 inches (5.1 cm) longer.

Also needed are two clam shells which will be used to hide the finished end. , These are placed at the end of the wire or string, and then just pinched with chain nose pliers to finish. , They have a slight gap in them and are used when connecting different parts together. ,, With the crimp bead about 2 inches (5.1 cm) from the end of the wire, take the chain nose pliers and crimp the bead. , When doing this, the crimp bead is not exposed so it can be hidden.

Close the clam shell now using the chain nose pliers so that the crimp bead is completely hidden. , Then bend down the edge of the hook. ,, Looking closely, only the sterling silver parts can be seen, not any portion of the wire. ,, This necklace is 14 to 16 inches (35.6 to
40.6 cm) long for a little girl but more beads can be added to make a longer necklace. ,,, Now the short wire has become completely concealed inside the beads.

When sliding the beads down they completely cover the end of the short wire so that there is only one wire left. ,,,, Using 2 different shade color beads will make the color flow nicely.

First one light rose Swarovski bead and 2 seed beads, then use a fuchsia colored Swarovski bead, which make a nice focal point, then 2 seed beads.

Next a light rose Swarovski, and 2 seed beads.

And with that the necklace is half finished. ,,,, Then, open not pulling side ways, but by twisting up and twisting down at the same time.

If opening a jump ring by pulling side ways, it may change the ring shape and it won’t close very well when closing it., Now it can be closed in a way that looks very nice and professional. ,, That will complete the middle part of the necklace., Go ahead and repeat this same pattern 21 times and then go on to the next step.,,,,, It’s just a little bit of space but it really makes a big difference.

Also make sure that there's not too much space as the beads will then be too loose.,, If the wire comes out before reaching the two inches, just take it and feed it back in., If the wire comes out from one of the larger beads, after cutting the wire there's no need to worry about the end or the wire popping out when wearing the necklace and the beads move a little bit on the wire.,,, Then with the round nose pliers bend the hook down, and finally squeeze it just a little more with the flat nosed pliers.,
  2. Step 2: Start with a spring ring which is a kind of clasp.

  3. Step 3: Attach an extender which will be used with the spring ring.

  4. Step 4: Then crimp beads.

  5. Step 5: Finally

  6. Step 6: jump rings.

  7. Step 7: To start the wired necklace

  8. Step 8: take the wire and pass it through the bottom part of the clam shell.

  9. Step 9: put on a crimp bead.

  10. Step 10: pass the wire back through the same hole.

  11. Step 11: take the spring ring and place it onto the hook part.

  12. Step 12: Now start putting on the beads.

  13. Step 13: There are two strings of wire

  14. Step 14: and make sure when putting on the beads to put both wires through the beads.

  15. Step 15: To start stringing

  16. Step 16: first put on 2 seed beads

  17. Step 17: then put one 4mm Crystal clear Swarovski bead.

  18. Step 18: Repeat this same process a total of 21 times.

  19. Step 19: Add seed beads then 1 clear Swarovski

  20. Step 20: 2 seed beads then 1 clear Swarovski…

  21. Step 21: When putting the wires through the beads

  22. Step 22: make sure that both wires are going through the beads.

  23. Step 23: Now slide the beads down both wires.

  24. Step 24: So now just repeat until there are a total of 21 clear Swarovski beads on the string.

  25. Step 25: Finish the process by putting on 2 seed beads.

  26. Step 26: Now move on to create the center piece of the necklace.

  27. Step 27: Change the color here and make the center part with 2 different colored Swarovski beads.

  28. Step 28: Now put on the center piece of the necklace which is a Swarovski crystal in the shape of a flower.

  29. Step 29: To put the flower on the necklace

  30. Step 30: use both the round nose pliers and the chain nose pliers.

  31. Step 31: Using these two tools

  32. Step 32: open a jump ring and attach the flower shaped crystal bead.

  33. Step 33: To open jump rings

  34. Step 34: hold both pliers in each hand and grab the jump ring right next to the gap.

  35. Step 35: After putting the flower piece on

  36. Step 36: use both pliers to grab both sides of the ring near the gap

  37. Step 37: and turn it to return the ring to the original position before having opened it.

  38. Step 38: Now take the wire and pass it through the ring.

  39. Step 39: just like a while ago

  40. Step 40: put on two seed beads

  41. Step 41: then a light colored Swarovski bead

  42. Step 42: then two more seed beads

  43. Step 43: then a fuscia Swarovski bead

  44. Step 44: then again two more seed beads

  45. Step 45: and then a light rose Swarovski bead.

  46. Step 46: in the same way as the first half of the necklace

  47. Step 47: put on two seed beads

  48. Step 48: then a Swarovski crystal bead.

  49. Step 49: Now just like with the first half

  50. Step 50: repeat the pattern 21 times for the remaining half.

  51. Step 51: Now move on to the last part and finish the wire.

  52. Step 52: To do this

  53. Step 53: in the same way already learned

  54. Step 54: pass the wire through the bottom of the clam shell part

  55. Step 55: then put on the crimp bead.

  56. Step 56: Next crimp the crimp bead inside the clam shell part

  57. Step 57: but one thing to be careful about is to crimp the bead right down next to the exact edge inside the clam shell part

  58. Step 58: and then close the two sides of the clam shell part

  59. Step 59: there will be no space at all between the beads and they just don’t look or feel as nice compared to leaving a little bit of room between them.

  60. Step 60: So when crimping the crimp bead move it up just a little bit

  61. Step 61: only about the width of a seed bead.

  62. Step 62: After crimping the crimp bead

  63. Step 63: just like before

  64. Step 64: run the wire back through the hole

  65. Step 65: and pull it down.

  66. Step 66: just like earlier take the wire and feed it through our beads to a length of about 2 inches (5.1 cm).

  67. Step 67: The next thing to make sure of is that the wire doesn’t emerge from one of the seed beads

  68. Step 68: but make sure it emerged from one of the Swarovski beads.

  69. Step 69: So now with the wire coming out at about 2 inches (5.1 cm)

  70. Step 70: take the flash cutter and cut the wire.

  71. Step 71: Then close the two sides of the clam shell part with the flat nosed pliers.

  72. Step 72: After closing the clam shell

  73. Step 73: take the extender part and place it on the hook.

  74. Step 74: Finished.
