  1. Step 1: Sign into your Google account and visit the Google Drive website.

    If you don't have a Google account, you can create one for free.
  2. Step 2: Click the Settings icon.

    , A list of choices will appear to the left. , This will convert uploaded Microsoft Office Word documents into Google Docs documents, Microsoft Office PowerPoint files into Google Slides presentations, and Microsoft Excel files into Google Spreadsheets documents so that you will be able to edit them in Google Drive. ,, If you would like to re-download the converted Microsoft Office Documents that you edit to apply the changes that you made in the documents to your computer:
    In your document, select File.

    Then move the cursor over Download as.

    A list of choices will appear to the right.

    Select Microsoft Office document (docx.) in case of Google Docs, PowerPoint presentation (pptx.) in case of Google Slides, or Excel spreadsheet (xlsx.) in case of Google Spreadsheets.
