Step 1: Open the Start menu of the PC
The registry editor opens. ,,, On the right hand panel of the registry editor there will appear a list of program items which are related to the startup of the PC. , Go to the Editor's drop down Favorites menu and click add so that the editor will go straight to the item in future, should it ever be necessary.
Then, with the MSConfigReminder item still selected, press delete to remove it, and close the editor.
There is no need to save anything for the editor; it is saved automatically as it closes.
On next startup the offending pop-up will have gone. -
