Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Draw a 6 inch (15.2 cm) by 6 inch (15.2 cm) square.

    Do this every other row (1st, 3rd, 5th, etc).

    At the second horizontal row, draw a vertical line at half an inch or the first block of the grid then measure 1 inch (2.5 cm) interval or 2 blocks of the grid then add another vertical line/s until you reach the end.

    Do this at every other row (2nd, 4th, 6th etc..) , Don't forget to use your ruler and erase the sketch lines. ,
  2. Step 2: Draw a 12x12 grid (consisting of half an inch per block) inside the square.

  3. Step 3: Use a darker pencil to trace all of the horizontal lines.

  4. Step 4: At the first horizontal row that you created

  5. Step 5: draw a vertical line every 1 inch (2.5 cm) or 2 blocks of the grid.
