  1. Step 1: Launch the Ubuntu Software Center.

    The Ubuntu Software Center should be located in the left panel.
  2. Step 2: Search for VLC in Ubuntu Software Center.

    When you open Ubuntu Software Center you'll be need to type VLC in the search section which are located on the right upper corner of the window.

    Then hit ↵ Enter. , When it asks you for a password, type in your password and hit ↵ Enter.

    Once the Ubuntu Software Center finishes the installation, VLC is ready for you to use. , Click on the left panel and search for VLC Player.
