How to Install Backpack Software 2.

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Note: This software bundle is currently supported on the Windows OS NOT Mac;

   I called NEU Blackboard Support today and NEU runs on a
   7.0 Server.
   
   This means that you have to download Backpack
   2.5. , Here it is for your convenience:
   Backpack
   2.5 ,, Once you have installed Backpack
   2.5 you will be prompted to select your university. ,,, Take a look at this screen shot for details: ,,,,,

   Step 2: Go to the blackboard.com Help page.

   Step 3: Scroll down and take note that Blackboard 3.0 is not supported by NEU's Blackboard Server as it is an earlier version than 7.2.330.25.

   Step 4: If you continue to scroll down you will be taken to the link that can download Backpack 2.5.

   Step 5: This will prompt you to SAVE FROM DISK or open the executable.

   Step 6: You can do either.

   Step 7: Search for Northeastern University and select

   Step 8: You will then have to scroll down to Information Technology as your program of study.

   Step 9: To configure the correct Blackboard Server enter the following information.

    Step 10: You will need to enter some credentials for the Blackboard Server at NEU.

    Step 11: Our server at SCPS is: http://spcsblackboard.neu.edu

    Step 12: Enter your login credentials for Blackboard

    Step 13: Your courses should appear and then you want to download all.
