Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Remove the mudguard (you may need to remark the drill holes to verify the holes actual location.

    You don't even have to be perfect or drill the holes completely all the way out.

    Just allow the drill bit to penetrate the plastic molded area of the bumper. ,, The large washer black screws are ideal for these types of applications allowing for a tight fit with a very professional finish and appearance. ,,, I was looking to see if the mud guards would fit between the fender well and the side steps..

  2. Step 2: Then proceed to drill out our marked holes (four holes total) using the 1⁄8 inch (0.3 cm) drill bit.

  3. Step 3: Leave the plastic burs intact

  4. Step 4: as this allows the screws to latch onto the plastic bumper area thus cause a firm grip onto the screw while tightening.

  5. Step 5: Once the four holes have been drilled out or started

  6. Step 6: You can replace the mudguard and thumbscrew all four screws

  7. Step 7: checking for alignment.

  8. Step 8: With your drill set to it's lowest speed and a Philips head attachment

  9. Step 9: Tighten the two outermost screws first.

  10. Step 10: The last two screws (inner most) will require a bit more effort (assuming the tire is still mounted on the jeep) while using the right angle Philips screwdriver.
