Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Google MCPatcher and open the top link (usually MinecraftDL) and scroll down the page

    find .minecraft and open that. (it's best to right-click and create a shortcut on the desktop for easy access).

    Find the "resource packs" folder and put you texture pack in there. ,,,,, (Doesn't work for all mods, be sure to watch an installation tutorial). ,,,,, This doesn't work for some mods, but does for TooManyItems, Rei Minimap, etc.
  2. Step 2: it should say Download MCPatcher for 1.7.9 or whichever the current Minecraft version is

  3. Step 3: click that link

  4. Step 4: then find the DLL (Download link).

  5. Step 5: When download is complete

  6. Step 6: drag MCPatcher out of your download folder and onto your desktop.

  7. Step 7: Double-click MCPatcher to run.

  8. Step 8: Click patch when you have added your texture/mod.

  9. Step 9: Download the texture pack you want.

  10. Step 10: Click your windows button

  11. Step 11: then type inĀ %appdata% and hit enter.

  12. Step 12: Run MCPatcher.

  13. Step 13: Click "Patch".

  14. Step 14: Run Minecraft.

  15. Step 15: Download your mod.

  16. Step 16: Open .minecraft > bin > minecraft / minecraft.jar > open with > WinRAR/7zip > delete the META-INF folder > open your mod file

  17. Step 17: drag and drop all the files into the bin folder.

  18. Step 18: Open the MCPatcher and hit Patch.

  19. Step 19: Play Minecraft

  20. Step 20: Download mod.

  21. Step 21: Run MCPatcher

  22. Step 22: Click "add" or the "+" button

  23. Step 23: find your mod file

  24. Step 24: and click "add".
