  1. Step 1: Open the Instagram app.

    You'll see this in the lower-right corner of the screen after opening Instagram.

    It looks like a silhouette of a person. , If you're using an Android, you'll see the ⋮ button in the upper-right corner.

    On iPhone, the button is shaped like a gear. , If you are currently using a language you don't understand, Language is the second option in the second large group of menu options. , You'll see each language listed as its called in your current language as well as its native name. , If you're using an iPhone, you'll need to tap Change to restart Instagram and apply the new language.

    The Android Instagram app applies the language changes immediately.

    If you're using a language you don't understand, Change is the option on the right side of the pop-up.
