Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Read the "things you'll need" section at the bottom

    Your local craft store should carry everything, save the hoodie and possibly the shirt.

    If you don't have the hoodies or shirts handy, you can probably find some at a thrift store, since you'll be messing with it anyway.
  2. Step 2: making sure you have everything you need.

    ,, Make sure the right sleeve is on the right side, and the left sleeve is on the left side. , (If you are doing this by hand, use a looping pattern as opposed to an up 'n under pattern) , It should look like a rag doll type stitching pattern. ,, You can either glue or sew the sides of the cone together.

    DO NOT SEW THE BOTTOM JUST YET. , This is GIR's tail. ,,,, Cut them out, and glue them to the center of the white circles. , DO NOT SEW IT THE WHOLE WAY. , Continue sewing the eye on until you are about 2/3 of the way done.

    Now stuff the eye to the desired amount.

    Sew the rest of the way. ,, Cut the tops at an angles like GIR's ears. ,, The bottom part of the L should only be 1 1⁄2 inches (3.8 cm) long. , Do the same for the other ear. , This is the tongue.

    Take a line of the yarn, and sew or glue it down the middle of the tongue. ,, This is the nose. , Separate the strips by about an inch and a half. , Your hoodie should be all done now! Feel free to try it on, and go crazy!>:

  7. Step 7: Pin the black sleeves unto the green hoodie where the sleeves should be.

  8. Step 8: Using your sewing needle (or sewing machine)

  9. Step 9: attach the black sleeves to the green hoodie

  10. Step 10: making the black sleeves the green hoodie's new sleeves.

  11. Step 11: Take the black yarn

  12. Step 12: and either sew or glue them onto the end of the black sleeves and the beginning of the green hoodie

  13. Step 13: to make it look like the pattern on GIR's hoodie.

  14. Step 14: get your first piece of black felt

  15. Step 15: and using a piece of chalk

  16. Step 16: draw a large triangle shape into it.

  17. Step 17: Cut this piece out

  18. Step 18: and roll it like a cone.

  19. Step 19: Take your stuffing

  20. Step 20: and stuff the cone.

  21. Step 21: Take the tail

  22. Step 22: and glue it to the bottom back center of the hoodie where the tail should be.

  23. Step 23: Now take a large rimmed glass

  24. Step 24: or another circular object

  25. Step 25: and trace 2 large circles unto one of the pieces of white felt.

  27. Step 27: and place them where GIR's eyes should be on the actual hood of the hoodie.

  28. Step 28: Take a quarter

  29. Step 29: and trace it's shape unto one of the pieces of black felt twice.

  30. Step 30: Take one of your eyes

  31. Step 31: and sew it a about a half of the way unto the hood.

  32. Step 32: Take the stuffing

  33. Step 33: and stuff a little bit of it under the eye.

  34. Step 34: Do the same for the other eye.

  35. Step 35: Take the black felt

  36. Step 36: and cut 2 6 inch long and 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick strips.

  37. Step 37: Take pipe cleaners

  38. Step 38: and glue one to the back of each ear.

  39. Step 39: Bend the bottom of each ear so it looks kind of like an L shape.

  40. Step 40: Sew the bottom of the L shape unto the hood where GIR's ears should be.

  41. Step 41: Cut a strip of the pink felt 1 1⁄2 inches (3.8 cm) wide by 3 1⁄2 inches (8.9 cm).

  42. Step 42: Sew the tongue to unto the edge of the hood.

  43. Step 43: Cut a small triangle (about an inch long) and glue it between the eyes.

  44. Step 44: Now take the thread

  45. Step 45: and going down the hoodie's back

  46. Step 46: glue 2 1⁄2 inch (6.4 cm) strips down the back center from the tip of the nose

  47. Step 47: to the tail.

  48. Step 48: AND DONE!
