How to Get Your Custom Maps Onto Halo: Combat Evolved

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Download WinRaR.

   Try using www.downloads.com then searching for WinRaR and getting the free trial version.

   Step 2: Open up WinRaR and paste C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\maps onto the address bar line.

   , Click and drag the map file onto the WinRar that you opened up before and click add when the prompt window opens. , Once it is done scroll down and you should see what looks like a copy of the Map file you just extracted.
   
   After you see that it is there start up Halo CE and go to Multiplayer and click Start an Internet/LAN game and when it goes to where you choose the map scroll all the way to the bottom and select the map that has the name of the one you just downloaded. ,

   Step 3: Download a WinRaR window should come up with the map

   Step 6: Once the map file is in the Halo CE map folder right click it and go to the option that say "Extract without confirmation" and left click it.
