How to Play Single Player (Solo) Maps in Halo Ce

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Take the map you just got out of it's .zip folder and place it into the MAPS folder of Halo CE.

  2. Step 2: Go into the properties section of Halo CE by right clicking and selecting properties.

    In the top most text area, type this exact phrase at the end:
    -screenshot
    -console".

    The text area is originally ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe". ,,,, (It looks like this ~ or ` and should be above the tab button) ,, For example, lets say its called 'contact'. ,,,, Wait a tiny bit.

    Hit enter again if it doesn't start ,
  3. Step 3: Once you add the end part

  4. Step 4: it should look EXACTLY like this: ""C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\haloce.exe" -screenshot -console" This activates the console so you can play solo

  5. Step 5: Start up Halo CE.

  6. Step 6: Get to the main menu where you can select things like "multiplayer"

  7. Step 7: "settings"

  8. Step 8: "credits"

  9. Step 9: Hit the Tilde button.

  10. Step 10: Look to the bottom of your screen

  11. Step 11: there should be a purplish flashy thing that says halo(:

  12. Step 12: Remember the name of the solo map you want to play.

  13. Step 13: Type the name of the map after typing 'map_name'.

  14. Step 14: If done correctly

  16. Step 16: the bottom of your screen should look something like this:

  18. Step 18: Hit enter.

  19. Step 19: Enjoy your game!
