How to Change Your Tumblr Theme

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Find a theme you like.

   You can find themes by browsing the 'theme' tag on Tumblr, or you can search for themes online.

   Step 2: Click to view the working theme for the code.

   , The code link should open up to something that looks like this.
   
   Save it for later. ,,,,, Then scroll down and click on "Customize.". ,, Delete it so the box is empty. , Go back to the code of the theme you chose at the beginning.
   
   Highlight and copy it. , Once you've pasted it, click "Update Preview" and "Save."
   
   Make sure your work is saved and then reload the page. , Upload a picture of your choosing from your picture library. , To add links from within your Tumblr, put a / followed by the page you want to link to (e.g. /submit).
   
   To add external links, delete the '/' and just copy and paste the link from the other website.
   
   Make sure to to give your links a name under "Link Title."

   Step 3: Save or copy the code.

   Step 5: Find the gear icon at the top of your Tumblr dashboard.

   Step 7: Find your blog name on the settings sidebar to the left of the Account page.

    Step 10: Find and highlight the code of your existing theme.

    Step 12: Paste your new theme code into the empty HTML box you cleared on your Tumblr.
