Step 1: Buy a large piece of chunky wood
This can be bought from your local DIY store.
Beforehand, measure your bed to see the width of wood you need.
Ask for In-store wood cutting. -
Step 2: like chipboard or MDF.
Craft stores will supply lots of different fabrics, with many textures and colours. , To make your headboard comfortable, you could put foam on the wood before placing the fabric over. , This could also be done with a hammer and some nails. ,,, -
Step 3: Buy some fabric which goes with your bedroom colour.

Step 4: Lay the wood down and smooth the fabric over making sure there is no bumps.

Step 5: Turn the wood round and staple the edges onto the back of the wood.

Step 6: Attach some wood legs onto the headboard and attach them to your bed.

Step 7: To personalise your headboard stick on some photos and personal items

Step 8: When finished personalising add some sticky back plastic to the head board making sure to smooth out air bubbles.
