How to Make a Gift Envelope

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Lay the envelope open and flat on the cardstock.

   (In this example, a black marker was used for clarity). ,, You may draw the lines first if you want, but it isn't really necessary. ,,,,, To draw outside the round part:
   Make a dotted line first, then connect the dots. , It should look like this image. , Take care to glue it inside the inner line! , Glue the resulting flaps to the cardstock.
   
   Cut the round part to "teeth" of 1 centimeter (0.4 in) /0.4" wide before gluing.
   
   Take care not to cut the cardstock! , Matching or contrasting, whatever you like. ,,, Hand (or send) it to the happy recipient!

   Step 2: Draw the outline

   Step 3: using a pencil.

   Step 4: Remove the envelope.

   Step 5: Score the lines that are drawn in pink

   Step 7: Cut out the envelope along the black line.

   Step 8: Lay the envelope you just cut on the white side of a piece of gift wrap.

   Step 9: Draw the outline using a pencil.

    Step 11: Use a ruler to draw 2 centimeter (0.8 in) /0.8" outside the outline.

    Step 12: Cut out the shape.

    Step 13: Glue stick the envelope to the inside of the gift wrap.

    Step 15: Finish off the inside of the envelope with a piece of colored paper.
