Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Measure the height and width/circumference of the vase/jar(s).

    Add 1” to the height and 2” to the width/circumference.

    Measure twice and cut once!
  2. Step 2: Transfer measurements to your metal screening using your pen.

    Consider using a straight edge to keep lines straight. , By adding extra material, you should have some overlap around the width and height of the vase/jar.

    Remove/cut sharp edges, especially at the top and bottom of the vase/jar.

    Hold metal around the vase/jar. , Wind ribbon or yarn between openings in metal screen to tie the metal into place around the vase/jar.

    Tie it tightly enough so that the metal is so snug that it won’t move or slip off the vase/jar. ,
  3. Step 3: Cut metal to size.

  4. Step 4: Tie metal in place.

  5. Step 5: Finished.
