  1. Step 1: Remove large pieces.

    Before you start vacuuming, remove any large scraps of paper or other debris on the stairs.

    Do this by hand.

    Basically, pick up anything that may clog your vacuum cleaner.
  2. Step 2: Start with the edges and corners.

    Remove the large attachment at the end of the vacuum cleaner.

    The smaller nozzle area is better for getting into the corners. ,, This is the place where dust will settle. , Return to the bottom of the stairs and replace the vacuum attachment. ,,, Work your way up the staircase in the same manner. ,, When you're done, stand back and check for any parts you may have missed.
