Step 1: Verify that the Volume Dial is in the 12 o’clock position and that the headpiece is properly positioned over the implant site.
For either method, you must place the program into the blank microphone check setting.
You will know it is in the appropriate setting when there is a solid green LED.
If you do not have a blank microphone setting, you will not be able to perform a listening check.,,,,,,, You should hear an amplified but clear signal., -
Step 2: Remove any materials that may be covering the microphone.

Step 3: Set the processor to the blank microphone check program.

Step 4: There are two ways you can listen to the microphone.

Step 5: For the Direct Connect System

Step 6: attach the Direct Connect earhook and audio interface cable to the Harmony.

Step 7: Plug the Microphone Listening Earphone into the jack on the Direct Connect System.

Step 8: Speak into the microphone while listening to the earphones.You should hear an amplified but clear signal.

Step 9: To use the Harmony Listening Check device

Step 10: turn the device on.

Step 11: Attach the processor to be tested

Step 12: or attach the t-mic.

Step 13: Connect the earbuds and insert them into your ears.

Step 14: Speak into the microphone while listening to the earbuds.

Step 15: Don’t forget to release the processor from the Listening Check device by pressing the two buttons on the device like this or by twisting the t-mic earhook.
