How to Activate TomTom Maps

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Locate your 15-character TomTom product code.

   The product code is unique to your specific TomTom device, and can be found in any of the following locations:
   On the “product code card” that was included in the box with your TomTom device.
   
   Behind the CD in the CD jewel case that was included with your TomTom device.
   
   In the “My Maps” section on the PLUS pages of your TomTom device.
   
   In “Options → Explore,” followed by clicking on the map in TomTom HOME version
   1.x.
   
   In “Show contents of my device → Maps → More info” in TomTom HOME version
   2.x.

   Step 2: Navigate to the maps you’re trying to access on your TomTom device.

   , After TomTom accepts and recognizes the product code, you can begin using your new maps.
   
   Proceed to step #4 if your TomTom device does not accept the product code, in which case you will be required to activate your maps manually. ,,,,,, Your new TomTom maps will now be activated and ready for use.Alternately, you can visit the My TomTom website at https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/mytomtom/promotioncode/ and enter your activation code to manually activate the maps on your TomTom device.

   Step 3: Enter your 15-character product code at the prompt.

   Step 4: Go to TomTom’s code website at http://www.ttcode.com/.

   Step 5: Click on “Product Activation” next to your country’s flag.

   Step 6: Enter your 15-digit product code into the field provided

   Step 7: and click on “Next.” TomTom’s code website will send a unique 10-digit device code to your TomTom.

   Step 8: Enter the 10-digit device code into the field provided on TomTom’s code website

   Step 9: and click on “Next.” You will be provided with a unique 15-digit activation code.

    Step 10: Attempt to access the maps once again on your TomTom device.

    Step 11: Enter the unique 15-digit activation code provided to you by the TomTom code website at the prompt.
