Step 1: Turn on your netbook and log in.
This is your hard drive, where most files are stored. , This is where programs, like Firefox and Google Chrome, store their data. , This folder has all the data for the popup display that appears when you push Fn and another key. , MMRes and OSDRC.
MMRes has the pictures for when you switch to an external monitor.
OSDRC has the pictures for everything else, like when you adjust the volume or when you turn the TouchPad on and off . , If the picture was called "Mute"
make a copy and call it "Mute-2".
Edit the one called "Mute" because that is the one the program will look for. , Paint.NET, gimp and PhotoShop are good examples. ,, In this case, "Mute". , Close the folder. , Look for the process called "LManager".
That is the program that makes the icons pop up.
Click on "LManager" then click End Task.
Now got to the "Applications" tab and click New Task.
Type in "lmanager.exe" into the box.
Hit OK or Enter. , -
