Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Get a job that allows you to work alone or with as few people as possible.

    Consider working the midnight/graveyard shift as these are usually just skeleton crews.

    The extra pay for shift differential is nice too! An online/work at home job would of course, be perfect.
  2. Step 2: Locate a Laundromat that is open 24 hours

    Chances are good that all the washers & dryers will be free & you can get out in no time by doing 2 or 3 loads at once. , The only people you'll see are the stock boys & maybe 1 cashier. (Another good reason for working the graveyard shift.) If you can find a store that has a self checkout, all the better. , There are companies that will, for a fee, shop & deliver groceries right to your door. , It not only saves you from having to deal with the customer service rep, it's GREENER also . , Better still, cover them up completely.

    I sprayed glued some fabric onto a big piece of cardboard cut to fit snugly into my window casing.

    I then cut a 3 sided square that opened like a door so I could look out when I wanted to.

    Heavy curtains will do also. , These comforters will muffle the noise coming into & going out of your place., If you do go to a movie theater go to the FIRST show of the day on Monday towards the end of the month.

    If you don't live around a bunch of retirees you will most likely be the only one in the theater. , The idea is to live as quietly as possible so that your neighbors NEVER know when you are home. , Again the idea is to make as little noise as possible. , The biggest mistake you can make ANYWHERE, especially in a big city is to live by a set schedule.

    Stagger your errand's days & times so it can never be predicted where you will be. , Forget the vanity plates & the bumper stickers, your car can't blend in if it has identifying marks on it. ,

  5. Step 5: one that stays open 24 hours & do all your shopping in the wee hours of the morning like 2 or 3 am.

  6. Step 6: Order your groceries over the internet.

  7. Step 7: Pay your bills online if possible.

  8. Step 8: Cover your windows with a mirror film that lets you see out but no one can see in.

  9. Step 9: If you live in an apt

  10. Step 10: hang old comforters on the walls of adjoining apartments & on the back of your door (you can try to use 5 push pins to tack a twin comforter onto the back of the door

  11. Step 11: this allowed the door to swing freely).

  12. Step 12: Save the money you'd spend going to a movie theater & invest in a really good home theater system & rent movies & games through the mail.

  13. Step 13: Buy a good set of wireless headphones & use them when you watch TV

  15. Step 15: Don't slam your door when you leave and if you use stairs do so quietly.
