Step 1: Before you get to the "Load Disc 2" screen
Makes sure to note which slot you saved to.,, Make sure to press any button on your keyboard once the command line screen loads so RetroPie does not reboot. ,, Look for the save state you just saved.
It will look something like this “nameofgameDisc1.state1” The number after “state” represents the slot number.
Now type the following command: mv ‘nameofDisc1gamehere.state1’ ‘nameofDisc2gamehere.state1’ (press enter) ,,, Make sure you load the correct memory slot (select + left or right on d-pad to change memory slot)., Other games may load automatically or you may need to load your “in game” save., -
Step 2: make sure you save using the “in game” save.

Step 3: At the “Load Disc 2” screen

Step 4: open the RGUI Menu by pressing “select + x”

Step 5: Select “Input” and then “Configure Input Hotkeys”.

Step 6: Configure a hotkey for “Eject Disc”

Step 7: Close the RGUI Menu and use the hotkey to “Eject Disc”

Step 11: Type the following commands: cd RetroPie (press enter) cd roms (press enter) cd psx (press enter) ls (press enter)

Step 12: Review the list of all your PSX roms and save state files.

Step 13: If you did not receive any error messages

Step 14: you can now exit the command line by typing “exit” and pressing enter.

Step 15: Load Disc 2 of the game you want to play.

Step 17: load your save state (select + L2).

Step 19: press start to continue.
