Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: In a pan heat some oil and sauté the bhindi for 5-10 mins with some curd;

    Add Mustard seeds, once they pop, add in Cumin, Curry leaves, a  pinch of Asefotida, and crushed Garlic and sauté for a few seconds , Sprinkling salt helps the tomato cook faster.

    You May also add tomato puree ,,, Then add Tamarind juice and the Cooked Dal/Lentil.

    Adjust salt according to taste ,, The Sambhar can be eaten with Rice, Roti, Idli or dosa
