Step 1: Combine the teaspoon of sugar and yeast into the warm water.
Set the bowl aside for it to dissolve. -
Step 2: Grab another bowl and beat/whisk the eggs until they are thick.
, Add sugar and salt.
Mix well.
Make a well (create a hole in the center of the flour) and add the yeast mix, eggs, melted butter, cup of water and cream. , Cover the dough and let it rise until it's doubled in size. , Fry the drops until golden brown. ,, If it's a small batch, a freezer ziplock bag is perfect, or a large batch can be put into a tin/foil container.
It's better if the malasadas are served hot. -
