  1. Step 1: Find a nice picture of something you'd like to tilt shift.

    (this tutorial is for Photoshop CS5, though.

    You can download a free trial at adobe.com). , (press Q) , Choose "Reflected Gradient" (fourth icon in before the drop-down menu for Mode). , The start of the line is where it will be most in focus, and it will get progressively blurry, to look like a model.

    Keep doing this until you are happy with the focus point. , (press Q again.) ,,,

  4. Step 4: Go into Quick Mask mode.

  5. Step 5: Choose the gradient tool.

  6. Step 6: Draw a line.

  7. Step 7: Go back to regular mode.
