Step 1: Hang the velvet fabric or garment on a hanger.
This will need to be near where you are going to hold the kettle.
If you can't find something to hang it from, improvise as shown in the photo. -
Step 2: Gently steam the velvet.
Do this by holding a half-filled kettle of boiling water in one hand and passing the steam from it over the surface of the garment. (The kettle needs to remain plugged in, so use with care so as not to burn yourself with the steam.) , The garment or fabric should now be wrinkle-free. -
Step 3: Leave to hang and dry.
