  1. Step 1: Open XnView and navigate to your folder with the desired files in it.

    If they are non-contiguous, use CTRL to select the files you need.  Click on File Operations >> Batch Rename... , Click the Name Template box and change the name to what you want it.

    The format that you see is how the results will be. , This will rename your files.

    It actually renames them, not makes a copy and gives them a name.
  2. Step 2: Select the files that you wish to rename.

  3. Step 3: Make the correct changes to the dialog box.

  4. Step 4: Click on Rename.
