How to Set Up a Media Server Using Plex

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Download the Plex Installer.

   Change the setting so the Update My Library Automatically option is checked.
   
   Do the same for the Update My Library Periodically option and the Include Music Libraries In Updates option.
   
   Also make sure that the option to Empty Trash Automatically After Every Scan is unchecked. , Once at the home screen, create a library by selecting the plus icon. ,,,,,,,,,, When the app is launched you will see this screen.
   
   If you want to be able to play the media on your server with the app you will need to select the pay
   4.99 option.
   
   If you just want to browse your media and control the server, then select the sign in option. ,

   Step 2: Right click the installer and select Run as Administrator.

   Step 3: When the User Account Control prompt appears

   Step 5: Select the Install button and wait for the installer to finish.
