Step 1: Clean the air passage occasionally.
If it gets clogged up, you will not be able to play it. -
Step 2: Keep it dry.
The inside of a wooden recorder should be kept as dry as possible.
Dry the inside with a piece of cloth or tissue after playing. , A new recorder should be "broken in to".
Play a new recorder for a week or so, aiming for 10 minutes a day.
Then, oil the inside with woodwind or linseed oil.
Do not oil the head above the window; make sure the bock doesn't get oil in it.
After the oil has dried, you can play the recorder as much as you wish! Please note, a recorder should be oiled 3 or 4 times a year. ,, Play in a carpeted area if possible. ,,,, -
