Step 1: Collect your thread and needle.
Do this by holding the spool in your hand with your arm out stretched.
Take the end of the thread with your other hand and pull it to your nose while your head is turned away from the spool. ,, (The hole) ,, (Left if you're right handed, right if you're left handed) ,,, Hope the string catches on a twist in your thread. -
Step 2: Get about a yard of thread.

Step 3: Cut the thread.

Step 4: String your thread through the eye of your needle.

Step 5: Put both of the ends together so the tread is doubled.

Step 6: Lick your index finger.

Step 7: Start about an inch from the ends of the thread and wrap the thread around your index finger until it crosses once.

Step 8: Pinch your index and thumb together so you are squeezing the cross and move your index finger back and forth on your thumb tip.

Step 9: When your thread is about to slip off your finger stop it with your middle finger and pull the extra one inch of thread.
