How to Unlock Akuma

Step-by-Step Guide

   Step 1: Unlock Sakura Kasugano

   You need to unlock each of these characters before you can unlock Akuma.
   
   The prior characters that you have to unlock before Akuma in Street Fighter 4 do not have any special criteria that you need to follow to get them.
   
   You only need to beat "Arcade Mode" successively.

   Step 2: Dan Hibiki

   You can choose any character to achieve this.
   
   The level of difficulty does not matter.
   
   Attain "Perfect" ratings on the majority of rounds in each match. "Perfect" ratings can only be achieved by defeating an opponent without taking any damage. , In Street Fighter 4, Akuma has several more moves available to him than the other characters.
   
   This allows a player to achieve more multi-hit combos.
   
   To balance out his extra moves, Akuma takes more damage than normal.
   
   Though he is considered to be a fast character, he cannot juggle (or rapidly hit to keep in the air) opponents into his "ultra combo."

   Step 6: Finish "Arcade Mode."
