Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Begin with a square of paper.

    If you are using dual-colored paper, place the color side up.
  2. Step 2: Fold the paper in half down the center

    , You'll end up with a square with 2 flaps. ,,,,, It will look like a kite.

    Much of the length of each fold is through only one layer of paper, but towards the top end, the paper becomes very thick and has to be folded flat. ,,, Unfold. ,, The tail should look more distinct now. ,,,
  3. Step 3: bringing the left corner across to the right corner.

  4. Step 4: Fold the left and right corners down to the bottom corner.

  5. Step 5: Fold the two loose corners at the bottom

  6. Step 6: up to the top corner.

  7. Step 7: There are two layers at the bottom corner

  8. Step 8: fold back the top layer only

  9. Step 9: just a little way.

  10. Step 10: Fold the same top layer up halfway.

  11. Step 11: Turn the paper over.

  12. Step 12: Fold the left and right sides to the center line.

  13. Step 13: Turn the paper over.

  14. Step 14: Mountain fold in half down the center line.

  15. Step 15: Fold the tail forward up halfway and back about a 1 centimeter (0.4 in).

  16. Step 16: Open up to a kite again and fold the tail on the creases made in the previous step.

  17. Step 17: Mountain fold in half again.

  19. Step 19: curl the tail backwards.

  20. Step 20: At the other end

  21. Step 21: fold back the two triangles on both sides to form the mouse ears.
