  1. Step 1: Get your puppy into an enclosed area with no distractions.

    Distractions such as treats in sight, other animals, or other people.

    Some pet stores such as Pet Smart, have special training areas for dogs.
  2. Step 2: Show your puppy the treat.

    Wave the treat and praise them. ,
  3. Step 3: Tell your puppy to sit.

  4. Step 4: Do NOT give your puppy the treat yet.
