Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Clean Pool and empty skimmers and pump baskets best that you can.

    Be prepared to shut off pump quickly., Shut off and push handle back down.

    Turn pump on and run in filter position for 15 seconds and then shut pump off and backwash again for 1 min.

    Filter again for 15 seconds and another 30 second backwash.,, Roll up backwash hose., powder per 10 sq ft of filter area.

    Look on filter tank.
  2. Step 2: Shut off pump motor

  3. Step 3: roll out backwash hose (if you have it).

  4. Step 4: Twist to unlock plunger T-handle

  5. Step 5: pull/twist plunger upwards 2 - 3".

  6. Step 6: Open air bleeder assembly on filter

  7. Step 7: and turn pump on.

  8. Step 8: Watch pressure gauge for backpressure (+ 40 PSI) and hose for kinks.

  9. Step 9: After hose fills with water

  10. Step 10: run for 1 - 2 minutes or until water runs clear.

  11. Step 11: Shut off pump motor and push T-handle back down into locked position.

  12. Step 12: Turn pump back on and note lower pressure.

  13. Step 13: Add one pound D.E.
