Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Open new document.

    Set it to size 500x500 px and create new layer.
  2. Step 2: Use the Brush tool to create a rough sketch of a butterfly.

    , Set it above the sketched layer, then select the Brush tool and choose black color.

    Paint to an area you want it black such as the outline of wings , Select a color and use it to paint the wing area. ,,, Change the name to "butterfly background" and fill this layer with the Gradient tool by selecting a color and choosing Radial Gradient mode.

    Click and drag your mouse to fill the layer with the gradient effect. , Press Ctrl + t and adjust size to rotate a butterfly, press Enter when finish.

    Continue selected all butterfly layers, hold the Alt key to duplicate a butterfly. ,,
  3. Step 3: Create a new layer and call it "Black outline".

  4. Step 4: Create a new layer and position it between the black outline layer and the sketch layer.
