  1. Step 1: Create a new document.

    The size doesn't really matter.
  2. Step 2: Select the Gradient tool.

    What you are probably seeing is the paint bucket tool.

    Right click on it. ,, Maybe something else will work. , You will need five of them to make this gradient. , Click somewhere on the line to add any extra stops that you need.

    To make a terra cotta type of gradient, here are some example numbers.

    Notice the numerical pattern.

    Color A, B, C, B, A. , After that, click on New Gradient and give it a name.

  4. Step 4: Look at the options that you have.
