How to Change the Home Screen on an Android Phone

Step 1: Go to the home screen.
If an app is currently open, exit it or use the Back button on your device until you reach the home screen. -
Step 2: Pinch the screen.
That is, place both fingers on the screen diagonal to each other and then slide the fingers towards each other.
The screen should zoom out so that all the available home screens will be visible.
Once all the available home screens are displayed, there should be a small icon in the upper right-hand corner of each small home screen box.
The icon should look like a small house.
If the little house icon is not on the small home screen box, then that screen is not available to be set as a default home screen. , The current selection will appear in a light blue, while the unselected options will be gray. -
Step 3: Select a new default home screen by tapping on one of the available home screens.
