  1. Step 1: Open the Run box.

    You can access this from the Start menu, or by pressing ⊞ Win+R.
  2. Step 2: Open "About Windows".

    Type winver and press ↵ Enter. , Your Windows release will be displayed at the top ("Windows 7"

    In the text beneath the logo will list your version and build number (e.g. "Version
    6.3 (Build 9600)")., You can access the System Properties by pressing ⊞ Win + Pause or Pause Break, or by right-clicking on This PC/Computer/My Computer and selecting Properties. , At the top of the window you will see your Windows edition.

    In the "System" section, you can see whether Windows is 32-bits or 64-bits by looking at the "System type:" entry.
