Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Drag down the top of the screen and locate the icon.

    If it doesn’t show up here, open your apps list and locate it there.
  2. Step 2: Scroll down

    ,,,,, You can skip this step and set it up later by selecting Not now. , This means that all apps and content are downloaded and monitored through your account only. , (The icon will be a colorful triangle.) , If you haven’t signed in to your (or your child’s) Google account yet, do so now. ,,, You will be asked to enter it twice. ,, Be sure to click SAVE at the bottom of every category screen.

    For Apps & Games, the PEGI # refers to the age of your child.

    So PEGI 7 is for 3-7 years, PEGI 12 is for 7-12 years, and so on. ,,, You can later change when you want to set this restriction if you choose to. ,,, If it’s on, turn it off.

    This will prevent third party app downloads from the Internet.

  20. Step 20: Scroll down and select Require authentication for purchases.

  21. Step 21: Select For all purchases through Google Play on this device.

  23. Step 23: Locate and select Security & fingerprint under the Personal section.

  24. Step 24: Check to make sure that the Unknown Sources switch is turned off.
