  2. Step 2: Find Show or hide common icons on the desktop in Personalization.

    As the Control Panel window pops up, type desktop icons in the search box and choose Show or hide common icons on the desktop under Personalization. , For example, you can deselect Computer, Network, Recycle Bin, Control Panel and User’s Files, and then click OK to hide them from the desktop.
