If you have the latest available version of iOS, you will see a message that says "Your software is up to date" and you may proceed to a different method. , You may receive a message asking to temporarily remove apps because iOS needs more space to update--if so, you must tap Continue before proceeding., If asked, first enter your Apple ID password.
Your phone will update and then restart.
A progress bar will appear on-screen for the duration of the update.
