Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Click Start choose Run.

    Click OK and close the registry editor. ,, It should be “Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows.” Click on Next. ,,, Type the following command in Run without quotation marks: "oobe/msoobe /a".

    If a box appears saying “Windows is already activated," it means your Windows XP is genuine.

  3. Step 3: Double click on KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

  4. Step 4: Click on Software.

  5. Step 5: Click on Microsoft.

  6. Step 6: Click on Windows NT.

  7. Step 7: Click on CurrentVersion.

  8. Step 8: Now chose the “WPAEvents” option.

  9. Step 9: Right click on OOBETimer and select Modify.
