How to Place an iPhone Call on Hold

   Step 1: Start or receive your call.

   You can mute a call once you're in it.
   
   Place or receive a call like you normally would.

   Step 2: Tap the "Mute" button while in a call.

   You'll see this button when you pull your iPhone away from your face.
