   Step 1: Verify that a microphone is installed on your Windows PC.

   Some Windows PC manufacturers offer built-in microphones, whereas other manufacturers require you to connect an external microphone.Click on “Start” and select “Control Panel.” Click on “Hardware and Sound,” then select “Manage Audio Devices.” Click on the “Recording” tab, then verify whether a microphone is listed.
   
   If there is no microphone installed on your computer, you must connect a microphone externally via USB.
