Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: If you don't already have them

    Select the "Recording" radio box, and in the list below, make sure "Line in" is ticked.

    Click OK. , (Don't worry if this is not an option
    - if so, just make sure it isn't muted). ,,,, If all goes well, Audacity should record what you are playing on the CD player. (It may be impossible to hear) ,, Select the "More compatible" option and fill in the fields, then repeat for each song.

    Make sure that the artist and album name are exactly the same, character-for-character! , Save it wherever you keep your music.
