  1. Step 1: Open iTunes.

    This can be done by going into the dock and either clicking the iTunes logo (pictured at right), or going into Applications usually at the right in the dock.

  2. Step 2: Place a CD into your computer's disc drive.

    Most modern Macs have them, and they sometimes double as DVD drives. ,, The CD will start to copy to your hard drive using the general settings you set under "Import Settings". , You can do this by either going to the desktop, right-clicking on the CD's icon, and clicking "Eject "

    or clicking the eject icon near the CD's title under "Devices".
  3. Step 3: Select the CD from the "Devices" column if it hasn't already appeared to the right.
