Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: Open your iTunes and click the iTunes tab in the top right corner.

    Then click the preferences button.
  2. Step 2: Once the preferences box pops up

    When you are finished click OK.

    If you do not want to share all your music, click “Share selected playlists.” To protect the music you share through Home Sharing you can choose the “Require password” option so that the participants of Home Sharing must know the password to gain access.

    Click OK once you are finished. ,, Press “Create Home Share” when you are finished. iTunes will ask you to confirm your decision. , A Shared music icon with a disclosure triangle may appear if several shared library exist.

    Simply click on this icon to show all libraries in your network. , This may be easier if you use two iTunes windows.

    You cannot drag entire playlists to your library but you can select a song or multiple songs to share. ,
