Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Step 1: The following instructions are computer based.

  2. Step 2: Before you begin

    , For the rest of this tutorial, I'll refer to this image as "Your Image File". , If you don't have an image yet, a good place to browse is Google Image.

    After finding one that you want to use, right click on it and save it to your Desktop. ,,,, This tutorial is Windows-based.

    If you are a Mac user and can add an Apple translation to this tutorial, that would be helpful. ,,,,)You should see three layers:
    GRID LAYER, GREEN TEXT LAYER, and theWHITE BASE LAYER ,,,,,,,,,, Click on the anchor icon at the bottom of the Layers Pallet.IMPORTANT:

    Image > Flatten Layers. ,,, Printing to an HP 8000? Before printing, exit out of Photoshop or Gimp Studio.

    Then select the newly created .jpg file on your Desktop > Right click the file> Open with > Windows Picture and Fax Viewer > Click Print Icon.

  7. Step 7: Start up Photoshop or Gimp Studio (Recommended Open Source Freeware).

  8. Step 8: Determine the dimensional format of "Your Image File".Portrait (tall)

  11. Step 11: The following instructions take place inside Photoshop or Gimp Studio.

  12. Step 12: Goto: File > Open > "the Layer Grid".

  13. Step 13: Goto: File > Open > "Your Image File".

  14. Step 14: Goto: Window > Check Layers to make the Layers Pallet viewable.

  15. Step 15: Select "the Layer Grid"

  18. Step 18: Select the GREEN TEXT LAYER

  19. Step 19: then do a right click and "Delete Layer".

  20. Step 20: Select the WHITE BASE LAYER.

  21. Step 21: select the window with "Your Image File".

  22. Step 22: Hold down the Ctrl key and tap the "A" key (select all).

  23. Step 23: Hold down the Ctrl key and tap the "X" key (cut).

  24. Step 24: Go to "the Layer Grid"

  26. Step 26: Confirm that the WHITE BASE LAYER is selected.

  27. Step 27: Hold down the Ctrl key and tap the "V" key (paste).

  28. Step 28: If it is necessary to resize the image

  29. Step 29: select the scale tool(or the transform tool) and adjust the image.

  30. Step 30: If you're using Gimp Studio

  31. Step 31: you'll need to "anchor" the image layer.

  32. Step 32: flattened the layers.
